COMING SOON
Bridge Kids registration is open for the 2026-27 season!
Bridge Kids is NCC’s weekly, Wednesday night discipleship program for kids! Each week is filled with fun, games, Bible learning, and Scripture memory.
Parent Orientation: September 9
First Bridge Kids Club: September 16
Bridge Kids - We Need You!
We are so excited for another year of Bridge Kids and all that the Lord is going to do! ❤️ But in order to create a healthy, safe, and welcoming place for every child, we need a few more volunteers!
We are currently looking for volunteers to serve as:
• Group Leaders — helping lead and care for our preschool–5th grade groups
• One-on-One Volunteers — providing extra support for children who may need additional assistance
• Supplementals — need extras to cover for illnesses and vacations
You don’t have to have all the answers or be a children’s ministry expert; you just need a willing heart and a desire to love and serve kids!
Mandatory Volunteer Training: August 31 at 6:30 PM
Parent Orientation: September 9
First Bridge Kids Club: September 16
We truly believe every child deserves a place where they feel known, loved, safe, and welcomed, and our volunteers are such an important part of making that possible.
If you’ve been wondering how you can get involved, this is your invitation! We would love to have you join our Bridge Kids team. Come be part of what God is doing in the lives of our kids! Please register if you’re interested in serving this coming year!
Women’s Bible Study
The Christian life is not always easy, but following Christ is worth the cost. He is better than anything this world can offer—a better Redeemer, Shepherd, and Ruler. Those who trust Him find fullness of joy now and forever. Join us this fall as we study Hebrews verse by verse, exploring the superiority of Christ. Author Lydia Brownback will guide us into the rich character of God and deep gospel truths, encouraging us to trust in the unshakable hope we have in Christ. Tuesdays at 9:15am or 6pm.
Celebrating NCC's first year!
September 7, 2025, marked the day Northbridge Church and Berean Community Church officially became NORTHBRIDGE COMMUNITY CHURCH. We'll celebrate the first anniversary of our merger on next Sunday, September 6. Join us as we look back at God’s faithfulness over the past twelve months. Plan to stay after the service for gourmet hotdogs.
Men’s Fall Breakfast Kickoff
NCC’s men’s ministry will kick off the fall with a great breakfast, including homemade corn beef hash. Plan to join us on September 12 at 8am to learn about the plan for men’s ministry this year along with having a great table discussion and some time for worship.
Youth Group
Youth Group will have our first gathering on Sunday, Sep 13. We meet every Sunday from 5:30 to 7:00. Each week we have snacks, games, and discipleship.
Cars and Coffee
The September Cars and Coffee will be held off site in partnership with The Tint and Detail Clinic and Sandbox Coffee Company at 3800 West River Parkway NW. September 12 from 08:00-11:00.
The October 10 Cars and Coffee will be back at the church to wrap up the season.
Men’s Bible Study - Hebrews
We will take 12 weeks to go through the book of Hebrews, meeting once a week, either Tuesdays at 6pm, starting September 15, or Fridays at 6am, starting September 11.
New to Northbridge Lunch
Whether you’re new to Northbridge or have been here for a while and want to find out more about the church, plan to stay after the service on September 27 for lunch with Pastor Kevin and some of the elders. Please email kathy@nbchurch.org to sign up.
Everyday Biblical Counseling
NCC will host an Everyday Biblical Counseling Conference on Saturday, October 17. The conference exists “to equip God’s people to grow in their skill and confidence as counselors in all aspects of life.” Join us for rich, biblical, practical teaching and conversations designed to strengthen your faith and the church in Rochester and beyond. If you are a spouse, parent, friend, neighbor, or co-worker, you are invited! Come learn how to make your everyday conversations full of wise, biblical counsel.
Healing Hearts Prayer Walk
Join us for a time of prayer for our community and our church - that God’s Word would go forth to touch and heal those who need it through the ministries of our church. Healing Hearts Ministries is sponsoring a “Stand with Me’ prayer walk through downtown Rochester on September 13, 4:00 - 6:00 pm. The walk will start and end at Roy Sutherland Playground (Soldier’s Field) and follow a 2-mile loop through downtown Rochester. This is a family friendly event. Contact for questions: Julie Bashore, julieab@healinghearts.org or 507-261-9650.
OTHER NEWS
Staffing Update
Staffing team update on the Youth and Admin Pastor roles. We did have a Youth Pastor candidate come to Rochester to meet with Staff and Elders. Ultimately, the Elders decided not to call him as a candidate for the position at NCC. We are also seriously looking at adjusting the Youth Pastor position into more for of a Family Ministries role given the demographics or of our congregation. We can share more updates as we continue to flesh this out. We have two viable candidates in the process right now between the two positions. As these folks progress through the process, we'll keep you posted on next steps.

Fall Food Service Help Needs
Fall is coming soon, which means that Bridge Kids will also be starting soon along with other meal opportunities. The Bridge Kids meal nights start on Wednesday, September 16. There is an BK open house on September 9 where we will serve shaved ice treats, so I need a couple helpers that night.
We have a Women's Brunch at 9am on Saturday, August 29th and would like to staff that all with men to let ladies just enjoy that event. There is a men's breakfast on Saturday, September 12 and we are also starting Saturday night meals again on Saturday, September 26.
I'm looking forward to working with you all again. Please let me know though if you are no longer able to help with kitchen and I will remove you from the list. Thanks.
