What is the EBC Conference?
Every Christian is a counselor. Whether as a spouse, parent, friend, co-worker, or neighbor, everyday conversations are full of counsel. Will your counsel be wise or foolish? Will it be full of biblical truth and encouragement or filled with trite sentimentalism? Will it point people to Christ or self?
The Everyday Biblical Counseling Conference exists to equip God's people to grow in their skill and confidence as counselors in all aspects of life. Come and join us for rich, biblical, and practical teaching and conversations that are designed to strengthen your faith and the church in Rochester and beyond.

Session Descriptions
Break Out Sessions
Kevin Binkley
The Bible has a lot to say about parenting. Learn how we can make sure we are incorporating what God has to say about parenting into the day‑to‑day routine of godly parenting.
Broc Buytaert
Conflict is often seen as something to avoid, yet Scripture reveals it as a gift God uses for growth and sanctification. This session reframes conflict as an opportunity to glorify God, expose the heart, and pursue reconciliation. We’ll learn how God calls us to respond to conflict biblically rather than react emotionally and how conflict becomes a place for gospel‑centered change.
Patrick Porras
Rob Green
Many struggle with “burnout.” But what is it? This session helps us think about the concept of spiritual rest and how we might improve for ourselves and encourage others to join us.
Tom & Linda Hunsberger
Main Sessions
This session explores reasons that churches and individuals fulfill the Great Commission by engaging in the private ministry of the Word.
No one would officially offer “unbiblical counseling.” Thus, each person has a right to understand how a person defines it. This session considers four characteristics that describe biblical counseling from our perspective.
Counseling or care has a purpose. This session explores how we can meaningfully discuss how biblical purpose provides an important end point for our counseling. It also addresses one of the most common obstacles to being involved in personal ministry—“I am not qualified.” We will consider what Scripture says about who is qualified to care.
